Through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, Intesa Sanpaolo was one of the two banks that underwrote the €1.5bn loan to support Prada S.p.A.'s acquisition of 100% of Versace.

The financing is structured in a €1.0bn term-loan and a €0.5bn bridge facility. Prada Group retains significant balance sheet flexibility considering the cash balance and undrawn committed facilities.

Founded in 1978 in Milan and emblem of Italian luxury in the world, Versace is one of the leading international fashion design houses. Within the Prada Group, the brand will retain its creative DNA and benefit from the strength of the Group's platform.

This transaction further confirms Intesa Sanpaolo’s role as a partner of reference for Italian excellence, supporting its growth and expansion internationally.
