INTESA SANPAOLO: STANDARD & POOR’S AFFIRMS RATINGS AND REVISES OUTLOOK TO NEGATIVE FROM STABLE

Torino, Milano, 12 March 2009 – Intesa Sanpaolo informs that today Standard & Poor’s has affirmed AA- medium-long term debt rating and A-1+ short-term debt rating assigned to Intesa Sanpaolo and  revised the outlook to negative from stable.
